Experience

Alejandro Vásquez Vallarino is a senior associate in the firm’s corporate department. His practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, finance, and financial regulation, with an emphasis on emerging technologies such as blockchain and crypto-assets.
Over more than eight years of practice, Alejandro has led and participated in M&A transactions involving companies in the real-estate, financial, pharmaceutical, industrial, hospitality, and retail sectors, including cross-border acquisitions and strategic joint-venture alliances. He has advised on public offerings and private placements of secured bonds, on the structuring and registration of real-estate investment trusts (REITs), and on the establishment of private investment funds.
His financial experience is complemented by working on the structuring of guarantees and collateral, as well as administration and/or security trusts. In the natural-resources arena, Alejandro has assisted mining and energy companies on a variety of regulatory matters.
Before joining the firm, he served as a senior associate at two prestigious Panamanian law firms, where he deepened his expertise in corporate, banking, and capital-markets law. Outside the legal field, he holds a broadcaster’s license and has appeared as a political analyst on nationally aired programs.
