Banking and Project Finance

The financial law department at DELCO is staffed by professionals with extensive experience in the sector. The department’s services are centered around three main areas: banking law, project finance, and securities market.
In the banking law segment, we advise credit institutions on licensing and permits with the Superintendence of Banks of Panama or the Financial Companies Directorate of the Ministry of Commerce and Industries, as well as on compliance with their legal responsibilities under national legislation. Our team also has experience representing credit institutions and their debtors in various transactions, including commercial loans, mortgage loans, trust loans, financial leasing, and factoring, among others.
DELCO’s lawyers are well-equipped to advise on transactions related to project financing, having been involved in numerous operations of this type in the real estate and energy sectors.
This department also handles matters related to the stock market, including applying for various types of licenses and registering public investment instruments, such as bonds, preferred shares, and common shares, with the Superintendence of the Securities Market of Panama.
